Senior full-stack engineer · Remote across the EU

AI automation and custom systems for product teams.

I'm a full-stack engineer with 15 years building production systems. I help product teams automate manual work, add AI to what they already have, and take on the harder backend problems. I work with tests, CI/CD and code review.

What I can help with.

01 / main

AI automation & integration

I help automate manual work and add AI features to the systems you already use. I use AI to move faster — fewer hours, lower cost — while actually solving the problem, not leaving you a throwaway demo.

  • Pulling data out of documents and invoices
  • Search across your own documentation (RAG)
  • Routing and triaging support requests
  • Automating repetitive workflows
  • Adding LLM features to an existing product

AI is only as good as the hands steering it. Fifteen years building production systems is what makes it solid and maintainable — tests, CI/CD and code review as standard — not code no one can stand behind.

02

Backend & custom integrations

Backend work and the integrations that keep a product running. I tend to take on the difficult, specific problems.

  • API design and tricky system integrations
  • Performance and reliability
  • Modernising older systems
  • PHP/Symfony, C#/.NET or Python

Fifteen years of backends that run in production.

03

Technical consulting & architecture

A second opinion on architecture before you build, technical audits, and help getting a stalled or ageing project back on track.

  • Architecture and technical reviews
  • Code and system audits
  • Rescue and modernisation plans

An honest read on what's worth changing and what isn't.

Menaki, a product I built end to end

A meal-planning web app I designed and built on my own. It's a decent example of how I use AI in practice: it turns messy input into clean data, runs in production, and is straightforward to maintain.

  • Reading data from anything

Paste text, a link or a photo of a recipe and an LLM turns it into structured data. It's the same idea as pulling fields out of invoices or documents.

  • AI that doesn't fall over

AI-generated step images (FLUX), with a tiered model setup and fallbacks so one provider having a bad day doesn't break the feature.

  • A real, full product

Next.js, PostgreSQL and Vercel, with auth, rate limiting, image storage and a multilingual UI. Shipped and maintained, not a prototype.

It's the same kind of work I do for clients: get the data, automate the steps, and wire it together.

A bit about how I work.

4languages I use in production

15 years in production

Most of my work has been on systems that run in production, not prototypes.

More than one stack

PHP/Symfony, C#/.NET, Python and TypeScript/React. I use whatever fits the job.

Tested and reviewed

Tests, CI/CD, code review and Docker by default, so the work still makes sense after I've handed it over.

Hands-on

I was CTO of a biotech startup doing computer vision in C++/Python, and spent four years on the side building quantitative systems.

How I workengagement

How working together usually looks.

Remote

I work fully remote across the EU, in English. No travel, no overhead.

Project or retainer

A fixed project, or a monthly retainer for ongoing work. Whichever suits.

Handed over properly

Everything comes with tests, CI/CD and code review, so you can keep building on it.
